San Diego,CA- The team will be shooting a few days of Green Screen and interviews on location for its projects and clients. Green Screen is such a flexible medium in that it allows you to keep the same set up lighting wise while giving you to change the background for various projects. Shooting on HDV gives us the ability to have a high quality image for multiple projects in the same day.
Inter-cutting that footage with video blogging, b-roll or location shoots gives us some great options.
Knowing that projects large and small need to create lots of video content in order to stay relevant and create multiple impressions we at Kamatoy Media Group are looking at ways to create multiple video pieces efficiently.
This is counter to the way we shoot for Television or Film in that we try to shoot the perfect project. Social Media Video is about quantity as well as quantity.
One of the ways we are optimizing the shooting day is by bringing in our professional photographer with over 25 years of experience Miguel Pizarro. While he's there we can capture several social media still as well as some Green Screen still images that can be used in everything from print to web.
So in a few hours a client can get some HIGH QUALITY FAQ footage, interviews and stills at an incredibly affordable price
We will keep you updated on the process. Once we figure out exactly how much usable footage we get out of a session it will give us a better idea of what the market will bear.
We're excited...More updates shortly.
If your interested in a Green Screen and Still photo session in So CA let us know if this works we can shoot another day when we get enough inquiries.

President George H.W. Bush, and Michael Jordan were all on hand to
watch Tiger Woods and the American Team win the 2009 Presidents Cup
World Golf Championship in San Francisco.
The electricity in the air wasn’t just from the amazing putting of
Tiger Woods. A buzz from the business community was based around the
exciting West Coast launch of AdzZoo. AdzZoo is one of the fastest
growing innovative businesses to launch this year.
Three hundred CEOs from America’s top companies,
including Verizon Wireless, Del Monte Foods, Harrahs, Coca Cola, and
Halliburton, were all on hand as AdzZoo partnered with T.H.G. Sports,
the global leader in sports entertainment, for their West Coast launch.
Mike Hinsvark, AdzZoo Campaign Director and West Coast team leader,
said “It’s great to be helping businesses grow and getting the economy
back on track. If you listen to Donald Trump, Henry Ford, or J.D.
Rockefeller they all say in tough economic times like 2009, now is when
to build your financial future. Those who do something for their future
will add market share and grow; those who don’t will shrink or go out
of business.” Gary Woods added, “Right now, while many businesses are
cutting back, AdzZoo is in a growth and recruiting mode.”
AdzZoo is one of the most effective and efficient ways to create
traffic for any business large or small by using today’s technology.

How does it affect a Pay-Per post model like payperpost.com or socialspark. Are we going to have to make a note in every post that we are sponsored by a product if we write about it or can I just create a side column that says, "SPONSORED BY"?
What if your blogging about your own product? Do I have to put a disclaimer in my own post touting my own product?
The good news about this trend is that it is proof that blogging has become a major part of the advertising, marketing and PR landscape.
The bad news is that it's going to make it tough to deal with in
reality especially on twitter.
It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
Let me know your thoughts (PLEASE COMMENT ON THE BLOG.) We will talk about it on the show this week
Here are Ten Twitter Tips, social media and it's best and worst. Hopefully this will inspire a few ideas on how to build and monetize your database using twitter. This post will be discussed on the David Kamatoy Radio Show.
Ten Twitter Tips, Successful and Unsuccessful
Examples with David Kamatoy and Morgan Westerman. Morgan Westerman
created one of the most successful viral videos of the internet and has
recently focused his energy on social media. In just a few short months
he has gathered about 25,000 followers on twitter. He is currently
working with entrepreneurs on best practices in sales conversion. He
can be followed @morganwesterman.
They rewarded dell followers by promoting refurbished gear specifically and have noted sales to prove it.
THE LESSON: They created a specific type of reward and message that was different from their other marketing. In tandem with the reality that most twitter followers will be a bit tech savvy purchasing online this was a good match.
The result would have been different if they didn't do the discounted and refurbished sales.
2. Steve Agee, The Sarah Silverman Project: Steve Agee comedian started off his twitter following by pulling off a stunt on Ustream.tv about reading all first 5,000 names live on air when he hit 5,000. He is currently at 863,420.
Really good example of someone in the public spotlight using that publicity to gather a following in a new genre. Dane Cook did it on myspace and now Steve Agee is doing it on twitter.
ENTERTAINER TIP: Remember that when your on a hit show or in the limelight. Use it to build your database. Anyone in this side of the business knows that you never know when your going to get your show canceled. In radio they often sell the station out from under you with very little rumbling. If they told you the advertisers would go away.
OWN YOUR OWN DATABASE AND GET THEM TO AM EMAIL LIST
4. Straight to Sales: Straight to SPAM! http://twitter.com/Wealth_Formula No Humanity This is perfect example of what does not work and will most likely be deleted as spam. Straight to a landing page with only one message. REALLY!!!
5. Good Porn Bad Porn: http://twitter.com/A_Dempsey While this may go straight to a porn link the good thing is the quotes and a varying message. Sneaky Porn Spam generally bad.
The Lessons: 1. Use a landing page as seen below. 2. Quotes can be quite useful if used correctly. Choosing quotes that are related to your subject matter and then either blogging about them or just reference them back to you is a good idea in creating an ideal emotion. 3. It's public people remember that journalists are now quoting "tweets".
THREE TWITTER TIPS
7. Customize your twitter page. I use Google's picassa to create a collage using pictures and logos. You have to play with the output settings to get it right but it's a great free application.
If you truly want to convert to sales or interactivity then you have to earn the respect of your followers through credibility. Therefore push content...
Blog postings- Like this one.
Press Releases-
Email Marketing: Jugglemail emails create unique URL's that can be easily posted onto twitter. We do it all the time with our press release emails.
Videos
Facebook
Other peoples content: rt someone elses tweet usually garners attention and is often reciprocated.
10. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery: Pay attention to who you and others pay attention to and then customize that style to your own.
BONUS Final Advice: Remember that ultimately you don't own your twitter, facebook or myspace profiles. They can be deleted at anytime for complaints, overuse, spam. To top it all off the parameters are constantly changing.
TIP: Covert to a real email and contact information as quickly as possible for real contacts.
We do this using the auto responders on our jugglemail system or just dropping them into the system upon approval.

San Diego,CA-Warren Lanier, Jr. Chief Visionary
Officer and CEO of Bridge Point Marketing joins David Kamatoy this
evening to talk about making your business ready for online marketing.
Live at 5-7p.m.
Tuesday 18th, 2009 on Ustream.tv or www.DavidKamatoy.com. Warren Lanier
is the founder of Bridge Point Marketing, a full service marketing firm
that specializes in bridging the gap between traditional advertising
philosophy and internet
marketing.
"I like to fashion my efforts after the insights of Peter F.
Drucker who said, 'because its purpose is to create a customer, the
business has two and only two functions: Marketing and Innovation.
Marketing and Innovation produce results. All the rest are costs.'"
This is why our slogan is simply..."We get our customers, customers."
says Warren Lanier
Warren will discuss the common misconceptions that businesses make
as they launch a campaign and often wonder why it didn't work. He will
talk about how to tell the difference between someone who knows what
they are talking about and
someone who is blowing smoke.
"I wanted to bring Warren onto the show to discuss some of the
generational issues that we are witnessing with the rise of social
media. Social media is getting the buzz right now but the reality is
that the same old school principles
apply it's just changed forms and is highly scaleable, ultimately
leveling the playing field even more." says David Kamatoy, host.
"If your interested in building your business online this is the
show to watch. We understand the challenge of the entrepreneur. Your
busy running your business, while marketing your business is really
another full time job. We want to be
able to bridge that gap with knowledge and service."
Warren was instrumental in his position at ipower, inc. one of the
largest website hosting service companies on the web; where he created,
implemented and managed online marketing campaigns (cpc, cpa, seo, sem,
email marketing, content
marketing, etc.) that assisted in taking the company from being a
virtual unknown to its present ranking of #5 world-wide in the shared
website hosting industry. After leaving that company he started Bridge
Point Marketing and is currently
working with and helping to develop other companies with effective
marketing and business development campaigns.
David Kamatoy and Warren Lanier Jr. share an entertainment
background as he worked in PR and Marketing working with individual
artists like Ray Charles, Barry White, Stevie Wonder and record labels
Motown, A&M and United Artists.

Irreverent New Radio Show Pokes Fun at Job Losses,
Fat Bosses and Anyone who Flosses
At
a time when the economy is licking its wounds; a little entrepreneurial
comedy relief hits the Internet radio airwaves in a bizarre blend of
business news, kitty juggling and marketing tactics you bank on. Or
laugh at… Or whatever tickles your Twitter.
At
a time when everyone seems pretty serious about the economy; comedian,
juggler, and entrepreneur David Kamatoy chuckles in the face of
downsizing danger. "Right now the country needs jobs. Jobs are created
by small businesses and entrepreneurs. Through our semi-entertaining
and fat-free radio show we intend to inspire that niche and in doing so
stimulate the economy in our own provocative and slightly irreverent
way.”
The
David Kamatoy Radio Show is now Streaming on UStream.tv on Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 4:00-7:00 PST. The shows will be made available for audio
and video downloads at www.DavidKamatoy.com. The show will focus on Entrepreneurship, Entertainment, Internet Marketing, and some unusually funny other stuff.
David
Kamatoy is a juggler both figuratively and literally. He’s a
professional juggler/comedian who has worked with start up and emerging
companies for over 12 years. His unique perspective as both an
entertainer and entrepreneur has allowed him to interview an eclectic
guest list over the years, including Dat Phan, winner of Last Comic
Standing, T. Harv Eker, bestselling author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, and Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora.
The “juggling act”part
of the show is to make it informative, inspirational and entertaining
without dropping the ball. Balancing the show's content from current
news items, inspirational interviews,business
tips and entertainment might be a challenge for some, but Kamatoy has
spent his career getting people’s attention with humor, slapstick
comedy, and a solid understanding of funding, launching, and growing a
wide variety of businesses.
Knowing
that small businesses and entrepreneurship are on the rise during this
recession, it only makes sense that a show like this would build a
loyal following.
“People are sick and tired of hearing the bad news about the economy.
They want to be inspired. They want to hear new ideas. They want to see
who’s succeeding in this massive time of opportunity,” says Kamatoy.
Kamatoy
learned that talking about business-plan writing for two hours may be
like Viagra to the venture capitalists out there but it’s a real
snoozer for the fast-paced, action-oriented entrepreneur. “Digging into
the stories of how successful business owners, entertainers and
entrepreneurs went from stinking thinking to launching and drinking
seems to be where the real interest is,” says Kamatoy.
The
program targets a unique niche because the core of Kamatoy’s team and
associates are entrepreneurs, entertainers, and Internet marketers but
not necessarily in that order. This unusual hodge-podge of talent has
done everything from musical theatre, television appearances, raised
seed capital for start-up companies and performed in a circus. Yes,
Kamatoy at-many-a-circus past, has been known to dress up like an
elephant and let people ride on his back.
The David Kamatoy Radio Show intends to take these same skill sets and
apply them to fascinating discussions with clients - liveon the show while simultaneously interacting directly with entrepreneurial listeners.
The
producers of the David Kamatoy Radio Show plan on taking advantage of
the high-speed Internet culture by directly interacting with listeners
via IM chat, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, iPhones, sign language, and
the occasional smoke signals.
The show is going after timely entrepreneurial news items as they come
out of news giant sites like TransWorldNews.com and Google news.
The
show will also integrate video interviews and stories recorded and
edited in between the live shows. Those videos will be shown during the
live podcast as well as posted on viral video sites like Viddler and
You Tube.
Voice-over
talent and social media correspondent Steve Dahl lends his voice to the
show's introductions and sign off's and will be part of the comedy
relief blended into this underpaid collection of funny people, money
people, and entrepreneurial people.
And
of course, David Kamatoy’s understatement of the day… "As soon as you
see a video or tune into the live show you’ll realize that these guys
don't take themselves too seriously but they still have a lot valid and
semi-useful things to say about starting, launching, and growing your
business.” Stay tuned. This will definitely be fun.
Social Media is the buzz right now. Many professionals in the media world are being inundated with requests about social media. In fact many businesses are contacting professionals saying, "I only want to talk about Social Media"
Social Media is really the long tail of PR, PR builds a brand and so does social media. Here are some key points that I intend to elaborate on in the show and in our work.
Concept #1: Advertising and Marketing is the first thought of Entrepreneurs and Business owners when they try to develop leads and business, but there are some inherent problems...
a. Ratio 1:1 3:1- Your goal in an advertising budget is to create a 3:1+ ratio. In other words for every dollar you spend you get 3 back. If you create a 1:1 ratio it might be working and needs some tweaking but most likely you are doing something right. 2:1-3:1 is getting much better. Your going to profit from this if your margins are correct.
The problem with advertising is the INITIAL INVESTMENT....
You have to spend money to find the right formula in advertising. Each and every medium and category has it's own price point as well. In other words $5,000 dollars may seem like a lot of money to you but that's one ad in a publication for a week, a day, a month. $b. 5,000 can be spent in Pay Per Click in a an hour if you wanted in the right category.
The good news is that your response is usually immediate good or bad.
You have to be willing to invest the money into the test phase in order to find that ratio.
That investment should be based ultimately on how much money you want to make a month a quarter, etc. In other words If you want to create $10,000 in sales a month then you should consider a $3333.33 a month budget. Adjust the ratio accordingly to testing, market and category.
b. Because advertising is our initial response to more sales. We try to equate that same model to PR and Social Media. That is not going to work because Social Media is about long ball and interacting with your database to find out what they actually like.
THROW THE SPAGHETTI ON THE WALL AND SEE IF IT STICKS.
Social Media allows you to build a database and experiment with that database as you grow. Time and Money spent in social media can move you into a smart advertising campaign.
Social Media like Search Engine Optimization can have long lasting effects that pay exponentially over time.
The great thing about social media is that it is scalable. You can do it yourself for relatively low cost meaning that your going to put more time than money into it. However if your time is better served in running your business than getting a firm like ours to manage social media is a smart move. www.KamatoyMediaGroup.com can be reached at 619-573-9456
(This is a working concept and it shall be continued...)
If you have not heard the news you can now get a personalized url vs just a number on facebook. Very very cool.
I suggest getting yours as quickly as possible especially if you have a common name you can grab it now. In addition consider grabbing your company name or a name you are trying to brand.
As I have been cruising twitter of late, I find this phenomena often. It is not unusual for people not to get twitter or blogging. I find that the concept is just hard for people to take. The learning curve is just so weird.
Think about it even if I wanted to say write a book, a screenplay a haiku poem there is a form and that form takes a while to master.
Twitter is coming into it's own and it's evolving as I am even typing this. While Twitter is he long tail of blogging the reality is that it's still confusing.
Let's face it as much as I enjoy blogging. It's first draft and I grew up on newspapers and books not blogs. To publish a first draft kind of goes against everything we were taught in school when you really think about it.
Here is my take on it.
1. Social Media is not going away.
2. It's the same content in a different form.
Theatre begat Film begat Television begat VHS begat DVD begat begat Internet video begat youtube begat hulu begat mp4 etc. etc. etc.
3.You have to meet people where they are at.
If your client, fans, database are you using twittter. You should be on twitter. If your clients fans database is on myspace, hey you should be on myspace.
4. Write content that your people and you care about.
5. Promote that content. Don't just write but learn to promote it.
I am seemingly spending more time promoting what I write than writing it. Eventually that will change once the database has built momentum it's then a matter of being...
6. Consistent:Be consistent with your output. Dedicate yourself to some sort of schedule because social media is about attrition, small ball, throwing stuff against a wall and seeing what works.
Final thoughts: You can't escape social media if you want to grow your business online. Therefore you need to get help and education on not abandoning your twitter or blogs. Go back and claim your web real estate and get some help.
We can help just email us. Yes this is a shameless plug to end this post. lol
San Diego,CA- These were taken at the Spring Buskers Festival 2008 at Seaport Village.

Dat Phan, Emmet Morgan and Martin Mansour threw an Industry Holiday Networking Party in Mid December before they left on a cruise ship.
The place was packed for 10 hours when one group left another group appeared. It was made up of industry people cast and crew.
