San Diego,CA- So since I started twittering people have been getting the tone of my work environment and the little voices in my head. (O.K. not all the voices.) Now that my twitter feed is running into Facebook the comments are getting quite funny.
I have always been a late night worker. It started with performing at night but both my parents are still very active in the evening. I generally try to do the real social work, meetings, phone calls, etc. during the day and shift into task and creative mode in the evenings.
I augment this work with b-12, caffeine, water, vitamin-c and better choices in food. Since getting High Fructose Corn Syrup from being connected to my veins via soda I have found myself gaining more energy not less. So part of my productiveness in the evening has to do with the fact that I am also no longer dropping from a sugar coma at night.
The only thing I am remiss about is that if I do workout I do have to plan to sleep longer. My body just needs the recovery time.
Anyway here are some of my favorite quotes regarding working late...
Go to sleep man! What would anyone be doing up at this hour????
wait a second....never mind..... :-)

Wow you are going to bed just as I woke up. Nocturnal perhaps?
I love how your status messages and your profile picture are polar opposites! :)
Hope you got some restful sleep!
I have only one word for you.........
AMBIEN!
David(Me) OK here we go ready, who's still working..."Marco?"
Haha, nice one David... Polo. I think this may end up being the title of my next book. But on a serious note. A lot of us will be doing what we can to pick up extra work whether in our own projects or side jobs. To those people I say the best thing you can do for yourself is to realize that you must take care of yourself at some point. You can't not sleep and expect to be effective the next day. If you know your going to be burning the candle at both ends at least plan for it with diet, supplements, meditation, catching up on your sleep and most importantly let the people know that are working and close to you to keep an eye on you.
Because this is becoming the norm, the people closest to us should be able to cut us some slack for communication at times. I find that when I am tired I lose my patience and my ability to rephrase dialogue.
That's it, I am writing this at 3:41 a.m. for the record and Dan Leavitt is here with me editing a video. The Work Ethic is back Baby!!!! ARGH!
